Mitre 10 MEGA - Porirua

Mitre 10 MEGA Petone, Upper Hutt and Porirua, are locally owned and operated family businesses, proud to be a part of the local community.

Since opening Mitre 10 MEGA in Petone nearly 12 years ago, followed by Upper Hutt and Porirua, owners Martyn and Joanne Lockyer have continually focussed on the needs of their local customers.

These days their now adult children, Cliff and Sandi (who have grown up in the business, taking on various roles) are an integral part of the operation. Later this year the company will enter a new exciting phase as Cliff steps into the role of CEO bringing his considerable expertise and continued family values.

Giving back to the community is important to the Lockyer family. “It’s about getting to know the people within our community, getting involved and helping out where we can,” Cliff says. “Whether it’s supplying every rugby club in the Wellington region with balls for the season, community murals, buggy walks, DIY events, or contributing towards or attending local events. We really enjoy helping out and giving back to the community where we can,” he says.

“It is not just a big orange box, it’s a face and a family behind the brand, supplying locals with jobs, getting involved in the community, satisfying our customers and LOVING what we stand for,  Mitre 10 MEGA is a proud part of the Petone, Upper Hutt and Porirua community now and for many years to come,” say Sandi and Cliff.
